I can hardly believe it’s already time to wish all of you a very Happy New Year, with all good things to come your way! If you’re interested in that sort of thing, I have just received some statistics from WordPress about the visitors to this blog: which of my posts were most viewed, how many different places people came from, etc. I suspect it’s more interesting to me than to you, but here’s a link in case you’d like to look.
My family had such a lovely Christmas! It was fairly quiet (except during the gift opening — LOL!), but we were all together for most of it, and that’s the most important thing. 🙂 We usually open our gifts to each other at my home with Christmas breakfast, but this year we “did” the gifts the night before at our daughter’s home; this was in order to have everyone together, as two of our grandsons were scheduled to spend Christmas with their father. Whatever works, right? A couple of days ago, too, I made my annual trip with all five grandchildren to the local bookstore, where each of them picked out a book they wanted. Afterwards, we all adjourned to the nearby Starbucks for a drink and some chatting time. I treasure this time with the group of grandchildren, especially as they get older. They now range in age from almost seventeen to 8 1/2!
Have a wonderful New Year!

Happy New Year, my dear. I just read your grandchildrens ages – how did they all get that old! How can your oldest be 17, when I remember them all as being so little! Of course that’s totally in order since my eldest neice is now 19!
And the same to you, Ally! Wow! How did she get to be 19??? I’m having a difficult enough time keeping track of my grandchildren’s ages, but for her to be 19 is just mind-boggling! LOL!
I know! She’s working now, the twins are 14, and we had a new baby at Christmas! My Brother and his girlfriend had a baby girl – Maisie. Time flies too fast!
I should have remembered that the twins are 14, since two of my grandsons are also 14! And huge congratulations to all of you on the birth of Maisie! Time does indeed fly — faster and faster as we get older. LOL!
