Okay, don’t faint because I’ve posted three times this week. 😉 I know I’m not usually this conscientious about keeping my blog updated, but I’m pretty excited at having finished the entire quail family I’ve been working on since the class I attended on Saturday. Naturally, I still need to add one or more borders, and then there’s the quilting to do, too. That quilting will have to wait until I have a couple of other things out of the line of projects to complete, and I have an in-town class to attend this weekend, but I’m pretty happy with what I’ve done to this point. 🙂 Aren’t they a handsome family?

How wonderful! I’ve been watching your progress, but as I was preparing for the start of our mystery quilt project, I didn’t take the time to comment. I like your new blog site, and enjoy seeing what you are up to these days.
We went north for 2 weeks to help our younger son and wife move to their first home. It was a terrible time of year to move, but the snow and extreme cold held off until the truck was unloaded. Now we are impatiently awaiting the arrival of our first grandchild! (That was the other reason that we braved the cold). We managed to get the main floor 90% unpacked, and set up the nursery before we headed south.
Can’t wait to see your complete quail family!
Wow, I am impressed that you have finished Strolling at Lake Havasu. Sadly, I still only have 2 chicks completed.
Sandy, your birds are spectacular! Exquisite paper piecing, and you found the perfect fabrics to “feather” your birds.
Rebecca Grace, thanks so much. I wish I could take credit for finding those fabrics, but the cost of the class included a kit with all of the necessary fabrics, as well as the papers for the paper piecing. LOL!
