It’s usually the holiday season that makes people crazy with comings and goings, but this time of year is almost as busy for us. It started with one daughter’s birthday at the end of April, followed by a granddaughter’s birthday at the beginning of May. Then there was Mother’s Day, my husband’s mother’s birthday and the other daughter’s birthday all in the space of a week. This daughter couldn’t celebrate on her special day, so we’re having her and her family, as well as the other daughter and her family over for dinner tonight. Dessert will be these key lime pies, which should be cool and refreshing in our rapidly-warming weather. 🙂 After that, there will be my husband’s birthday in about a week, and then we should get a bit of a break. 😉
I did get a chance to work on my Winding Ways blocks yesterday at a friend’s house. We spent such a fun day sewing and talking and eating! I’m now just over three quarters of the way finished with making these blocks! As you may be able to see in the photo, I’ve used three of my four red fabrics, so now I’m working on the last of the reds. I also have four yellows

Wow! Those blocks are beautiful! Sounds like you’re really having a busy time. Isn’t it funny how everyone has certain parts of the year that are so busy–more so than Christmas, etc. Your pies look scrumptious!
Great progress on those beautiful blocks!
