You may — or may not 😉 — remember this post. At the time that my quilting buddy, Phyl, bought her kit, I also bought one, and I put it away to work on at some point; the kits were laser cut by Stacy Michell. That was about three years ago. Time does fly! LOL! Since I’ve been in a mood to get some of my “future projects” finished, I decided to make up the two blocks from the kit I’d purchased. Mine was done in black, and I added a pale aqua batik for contrast. I did a machine blanket stitch after fusing the pieces in place, then did a very small amount of outline quilting before finally making them into cushion covers that will be gifts at Christmas time or earlier.

wow, 3 years ago, time does fly. The pillows look great and I am sure the future recipient will love them.
I love these Hawaiian turtle pillows. And you are not the only one that waits 3 years to make something. My husband is still waiting on something I was making for him 20 years ago. Hopefully he has forgotten by now. lol
I would love for you to link up to the Stitch It, Blog It, Share It Link Party going on now at BehindtheSeamsSewing.com.
