<\/a>My sewing room is also my computer room, so things get rather awkward when I need to put up the back leaf of my sewing table to support the weight of the quilt. I lose almost three feet of depth, meaning other complications arise. If you look at the photo, you may be able to see that there’s barely<\/em> enough room for my desk\/quilting chair at this point. In fact, when I’m not actively quilting, I have to remove the knee lift for my Bernina, as well as my thread catcher, or they will cause problems as I come and go: the thread catcher drops to the floor, spilling threads as it goes, and the knee lift gets bumped and lowers the presser foot, whether I want it to or not. LOL!<\/p>\n
