\"Zip<\/a>I have two little projects to share with you today. First is a small bag I’ve made as a gift; it’s another Drop Zone bag from ByAnnie<\/a>. I really like this bag, as it opens up completely flat and then zips completely and compactly closed. I added an adorable little zipper pull shaped like a sewing machine to this one. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

I had a good time doing a “swooping” spray of feathers to quilt the layers together, which you can see better here on the bottom and inside of the bag.<\/p>\n

The other thing I have to show you is the result of a fantastic class I took during my recent trip to the Houston Quilt Festival. The instructor was Peter Hayward, who was absolutely wonderful. There was no sewing involved at all. We made strips of different colors of fabrics, including some ombr\u00e9 fabrics and a background. and then the strips were woven together in a prescribed order. You will notice that I’m awful<\/em> at mitering 60\u00b0 corners. Oh well. The whole piece measures about 11.5″ x 13.5″.<\/p>\n
