\"Gold\/brown<\/a> About eleven years ago, I made a ByAnnie bag (Jewelry Travel Case<\/a> — on the right here). It’s really nice, with pockets for various things (larger earrings, watchbands, etc.), along with a place for post-type earrings, a wonderful way to carry necklaces tangle-free, and all sorts of things. But it’s big<\/strong>! Closed, it measures 11″ x 7.5″, and it’s a whopping 15″ wide when open. Granted, it’s not very thick, but it does take up a certain amount of space in a carryon bag.<\/p>\n

I happened upon a very old pattern on the same site, the Jewelry Travel Wallet<\/a> (below). This bag is much smaller at 4.5″ x 8.5″ closed, and 12.5″ x 8.5″ open. This one doesn’t have all of the specialized spots for storing pieces of jewelry, but I don’t travel with (or own!) that many, anyway. I think I’ve figured out a way to keep a necklace or two from tangling, and there’s a place for earrings. I’ll have to figure out something for a spare watchband, but I think this will work! We’ll see, after a trip or two. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
