\"Set<\/a>Almost a year ago, I posted the fourth in a set of bags (photo on the right) I’d made for when I take my smaller Kaffe Fassett Bernina 475 to a sewing group. The bags were to hold all of the various tools I might need — reducing the likelihood that I’d forget to take some essential thing with me. \ud83d\ude09 The only tool for which I really didn’t have a good solution was my Martelli rotary cutter. Since it’s not straight, like the more traditional cutters, it’s sometimes a challenge finding a way to transport it safely.<\/p>\n

However, a new pattern recently appeared on the ByAnnie<\/a> site that seemed as though it would be just the thing! It’s called Drop Zone and comes in three sizes (I made the medium one), and it zips into a strangely-shaped four-sided “tube,” perfect for my rotary cutter. Unzipped, it becomes a flat tray with sides — very handy for “dumping” things I won’t want to lose track of while stitching. Think machine feet, clips, bobbins, etc.<\/p>\n

Luckily for me, I still had a small amount of the fabrics I’d previously used, so this bag will coordinate just fine with them and with the “theme” of the machine itself. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
