However, a couple of weeks ago I was planning to attend an upcoming sewing day at &#8220;my&#8221; LQS, the day sponsored by our local guild, and I didn&#8217;t really have anything in mind to do. Coincidentally, the very quilt I&#8217;d been admiring online was hanging in the shop! Naturally, I was <strong>meant<\/strong> to make it, right? I had a little mishap (I can be a bit careless) with the first block, but it eventually came together, and I made one or two each day after that. I&#8217;d decided to make each &#8220;needle&#8221; in a darker shade of a color, and another in a paler\/brighter shade.<\/p>\n<p>I took my time with these blocks, since I was enjoying them and didn&#8217;t want to finish quickly. They are a combination of paper piecing and &#8220;regular&#8221; piecing, both of which I enjoy. But it doesn&#8217;t take too long to do eight of these.
