\"Small<\/a>I’ve made quite a few bags from patterns at Annie Unrein’<\/a>s site, and this is my latest. \u00a0The strap adjusts to make the bag go from shoulder bag to cross-body bag to fanny pack — very useful! The pattern was introduced at the Houston quilt show, where I made sure to get a copy and all of the hardware that would be necessary for the small size bag. While there, I also bought a half- yard piece of lavender cork, and then I realized that I’d also need some cotton fabrics for parts of the bag, if only to cut down on the bulk in the seams. I was lucky to find a beautiful print with lots of shades of purple for the lining, but it was harder to find an almost-solid to coordinate, too. I finally settled on a Grunge that was almost<\/em> right. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

\"Inside<\/a>I decided to make the entire exterior of the bag in cork, using the print for most of the linings and the almost-solid Grunge for a pocket that is not quite completely hidden behind the others. The small pocket nearest the front of the inner bag is cork so as to give a unified appearance when closed. I think this bag will be perfect for occasional use!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
