\"Finished<\/a>After making all of those stitch samples and doing a bit of other stitching on my new Bernina 790Pro, I figured I probably ought to test out the machine embroidery, too. I selected one of the designs included on the machine and got to work\/play. The machine did a lovely job (no surprise there, really), but there was something else that was pretty amazing. Bernina has provided a way for the machine to access my wifi, and there’s now an app (isn’t there always?) that actually keeps me informed about the status\/progress of the embroidery project! Wow! At first glance, the app may seem silly, but it means that it’s possible to be somewhere else in the house — perhaps doing laundry, reading a book in the living room, etc. — and not waste time because I didn’t notice a problem.<\/p>\n

There are three separate screens in the app:<\/p>\n

\"Screen<\/a>1. The first screen shows the general progress of the project, including estimates of time for the current thread color and for the entire project. The tiny “running” icon at the top right changes to “stopped” if there’s a thread jam or a thread change needed, or if the design is finished.

\"Screen<\/a>2. The second screen shows which colors have been selected. These are changeable in the machine itself, of course. Colors are entirely up to the person choosing them.<\/p>\n
