Of course, I almost drove myself to insanity with piecing black fabric to black fabric, using black thread, as I mitered those outer corners. \ud83d\ude09 It&#8217;s <em>really<\/em> hard to see well, and my eyes are definitely very tired now. &#8220;All&#8221; that remains now is to decide on how I want to quilt it, find some backing and batting, and figure out whether I can use something other than black thread. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/sandymike.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/IMG_0040.jpeg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-4586\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/sandymike.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/IMG_0040.jpeg?resize=264%2C300&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"remains of fussy-cutting fabric\" width=\"264\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/sandymike.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/IMG_0040.jpeg?resize=264%2C300&amp;ssl=1 264w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/sandymike.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/IMG_0040.jpeg?w=564&amp;ssl=1 564w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 264px) 100vw, 264px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Just as a fun note, I fussy cut the triangles of the print fabric, as well as the kite shapes. I had just one yard of this beautiful fabric, and this photo shows what was left after I&#8217;d cut everything out. LOL!
