\"quilt<\/a>I’ve mentioned before that I’ve been taking a fantastic set of online classes from Philippa Naylor<\/a>. The last class in the series is a tutorial on making a feathered star quilt with a LeMoyne Star center. I’ve always loved<\/em> both feathered stars and LeMoyne Stars, so this was a no-brainer for me. As I rooted through my fabrics, I came across a gorgeous Paula Nadelstern piece I’d probably bought almost 20 years ago and for which I’d never had the right project. This will be fantastic for fussy-cutting the motifs for the feathered star! The only complication is that I only have one yard of this piece, so I’ve had to follow the very good instructions in the class for re-drafting the design to a slightly smaller size so that I’ll have what I need.<\/p>\n

\"fabric<\/a>Happily, I also happened to have some fat quarters of a range of teals to pale greens as coordinating colors, as well as a gold or two for an accent. I’m just waiting for my background fabric now, which is to be black.
