For some time now, I’ve been looking at a couple of tools that claim to help hold the weight to make quilting easier and less tiring. One of those tools requires floor space, which I don’t have; I have a smallish room that becomes really cramped when I extend the back leaf of my cabinet and which doesn’t allow for anything extra on the floor. The other, however, clamps to the cabinet itself, which is a much better option for me.

I finally bit the bullet and ordered this second option (which has been around for longer than the other one, actually) from Patsy Thompson Designs. In fact, Patsy offered me the option for less-expensive shipping if I wasn’t in a rush. I ordered the purple version to go along with the purple skin on my Bernina 790+, but it’s also available in blue.
