Oops. After downloading it and reading the instructions, I discovered that those instructions basically said to follow the directions on the two specialty rulers required for the design &#8212; and those rulers added up to over $50! Since I doubt that I&#8217;d ever use the rulers again, I decided to play with <a href=\"https:\/\/electricquilt.com\/online-shop\/category\/electric-quilt-8-eq8\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EQ8<\/a> and see if I could figure out a way to make the quilt without the rulers. I made two sample blocks (wrong colors, but just samples, so no worries) to check measurements. This is what approximately 400 pieces (no exaggeration!) looks like, once placed in baggies to keep the sizes straight. It would have been fun to heap them all up in a loose pile, but I&#8217;d never be sure of the sizes again. LOL!<\/p>\n<p>Now I&#8217;ll need to cut at least that many pieces again from the background fabric, which I bought yesterday, since I didn&#8217;t have enough of anything to use.
