Paper piecing made this doable, since each unfinished block is only about 4.5″ on a side and has 19 pieces; each strip is only 3\/8″ wide at its widest point. I had to be very organized in order not to make mistakes, so I cut all of the pieces for each triangular block before beginning to piece that block and then laid them out in order on my mat before stitching. After each block was stitched, I pinned it to my padded board to keep track of where I was. \u00a0The next step will be to put the blocks together into rows and the rows together into a whole. The last step in the piecing process will be to calculate what size half-rectangle blocks I’ll need for the corners in order to make this into a square\/rectangular quilt.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Today I finished all of the blocks for the little quilt I’m working on.
