There&#8217;s progress, but it&#8217;s been slowed because of another project I had to get done &#8212; and it has a deadline. This project isn&#8217;t a quilt, but it&#8217;s related. You see, about twenty-five years ago (yikes!) I set up a web site on the old Geocities platform. I managed to migrate that site to my own domain sometime soon after we moved here twenty years ago, but I really haven&#8217;t changed much about it. The software I&#8217;ve been using to add new quilts to the site is old. <em>Really<\/em> old. So old, in fact, that it will no longer be supported when the new MacOS is released this fall. Naturally, I&#8217;ve known about this for a couple of years, but I kept procrastinating and not doing anything to take care of things. The problem, of course, is that I will no longer be able to use the software to update or change the site. Oops.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/sandymike.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/IMG_0759.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-3937\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/sandymike.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/IMG_0759-247x300.jpg?resize=247%2C300\" alt=\"Echoes\" width=\"247\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/sandymike.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/IMG_0759.jpg?resize=247%2C300&amp;ssl=1 247w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/sandymike.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/IMG_0759.jpg?resize=768%2C933&amp;ssl=1 768w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/sandymike.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/IMG_0759.jpg?resize=843%2C1024&amp;ssl=1 843w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/sandymike.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/IMG_0759.jpg?w=1054&amp;ssl=1 1054w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 247px) 100vw, 247px\" \/><\/a>So I&#8217;ve been working on a new site, which will be at the same address as before, once it&#8217;s finished. But &#8212; oh, boy! &#8212; this project has been a real head-scratcher and hair-puller! I <em>think<\/em> it&#8217;s finally about ready to upload, but I&#8217;m contemplating a few more &#8220;tweaks&#8221;. While I contemplate, though, I&#8217;ve made some progress on my quilt project &#8212; which has helped me stay sane. \ud83d\ude09 I have just one more vertical seam to get the main portion of the quilt put together, and then I&#8217;ll add borders and begin the lengthy process of the machine quilting.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m still working on the same quilt I showed you a couple of weeks ago.
