A few weeks ago I saw a pattern for an adorable tote bag — as though I need another tote bag! But it was really cute, so I’ve begun work on it. There are eight embroidered\/appliqu\u00e9ed blocks on the front, and these are repeated on the back. However, I decided I’d like a bit of variety, so I adapted some of the blocks and substituted for others in order not to have any duplicates. The original designs and pattern are from Sweet Pea<\/a>, but my variations are from several sources, including the Bernina<\/a> site, Lunch Box Quilts<\/a>, \u00a0Embroidery Library<\/a>, and Sue O’Very Designs<\/a>.<\/p>\n

So far, as I’m sure you can tell, I’ve only progressed as far as doing the embroidery and stitching the blocks together into their two panels, but soon I’ll be doing the actual construction of the bag.<\/p>\n
