This monastery also boasts of having the very best Pastel de Nata in all of Portugal, and I must say that they were absolutely scrumptious! These delicacies are based on puff pastry with a custard filling, and most of us on the trip took advantage of every opportunity to sample them!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/sandymike.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/National-Tile-Museum-Portugal.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-3117\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/sandymike.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/National-Tile-Museum-Portugal-300x225.jpg?resize=300%2C225\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/sandymike.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/National-Tile-Museum-Portugal.jpg?resize=300%2C225&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/sandymike.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/National-Tile-Museum-Portugal.jpg?resize=768%2C576&amp;ssl=1 768w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/sandymike.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/National-Tile-Museum-Portugal.jpg?resize=1024%2C768&amp;ssl=1 1024w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/sandymike.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/National-Tile-Museum-Portugal.jpg?w=1280&amp;ssl=1 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>My husband and I also participated in an extra tour of the National Tile Museum near Lisbon. The tiles there were gorgeous and spanned several centuries. As the finale, they had all of us paint a tile to be fired and sent to our ship near the end of the cruise.
