That said, I&#8217;m pretty pleased with the outer border. I used some of Lisa Calle&#8217;s rulers to make the double swag, which enclosed some large feathers. Once that&#8217;s done, I will embroider a label and call it done! I&#8217;ll show it when that happens, and you&#8217;ll see why I&#8217;m so unhappy with the other parts of the quilting. There&#8217;s nothing really wrong with the motifs; they just don&#8217;t &#8220;go with&#8221; the quilt the way I&#8217;d imagined they would &#8212; and I&#8217;d even done a paper mock-up, so I guess the difference in scale is part of the problem.
