The <a href=\"http:\/\/sandymike.net\/blog\/2017\/02\/23\/machine-quilting-practice\/\" target=\"_blank\">second was to quilt along the wavy lines<\/a> and then quilt flying geese inside those. The third step was\u00a0to draw three\u00a0large concentric circles onto the design. Now we&#8217;ve done some echo quilting inside one of the resulting &#8220;doughnut&#8221; shapes made by the circles, trying to transition from one curved end to the other. I used some contrasting 100 wt. silk thread that I&#8217;ve had hanging around for some time, and\u00a0\u2014\u00a0for the most part\u00a0\u2014\u00a0I&#8217;m pretty pleased with the results.
