It&#8217;s a slow challenge, with the steps\u00a0\u2014\u00a0two so far\u00a0\u2014\u00a0coming every few weeks. The challenge is intended to give the participants some practice in free-motion quilting, and so far it&#8217;s been fun. The first step was to select fabric (I chose one\u00a0I&#8217;m not wild about so as not to &#8220;waste&#8221; one of my favorites), trace the pattern Teri gave us onto the fabric, and create the quilt sandwich. The second step was to quilt\u00a0the &#8220;whirling&#8221; lines and then to fill in those channels with quilted flying geese, using the horizontal lines as the base of the geese. I used my Bernina ruler foot and one of my rulers for most of the geese.
