At the time I also wanted to make similar bags for our two daughters, but finding\u00a0dupioni silk here is a little difficult, and ordering it meant purchasing a much larger quantity than needed. However, while I was at the IQF\u00a0Houston show last month, there was a vendor selling FQs of every imaginable shade of dupioni silk! The next problem, of course, was to determine which colors\u00a0to purchase. I finally settled on a couple that I thought could go with a lot of colors, navy and medium grey, and I came home and ordered the necessary bag frames. Earlier this month I designed the monograms to be used and made the two bags, though I couldn&#8217;t show them until after the gifts had been opened. That finally happened yesterday, so here are the bags. The navy is embroidered in a silvery grey, while the grey bag is done in black.
