\"IMG_1159\"<\/a>My quilt guild, Desert Quilters of Nevada<\/a>, is holding its local show this weekend, and I worked at the admissions desk all day yesterday. During a quick break, I was able to go visit the three quilts I’d entered into the competition: Strolling at Lake Havasu<\/a>, Double-Pointed Dresden\u00a0Plate<\/a>, and Moon in the Window<\/a>. I love entering my quilts,\u00a0as the judge always leaves comments for each one; the comments include things I may have done well as well as things I need to improve, and that’s really valuable information — even though I don’t always succeed in making the improvements. LOL! That’s okay, too; as long as I’m enjoying the process, I figure things are good in my world.<\/p>\n

This time one of my quilts — Moon in the Window — won a blue ribbon in its category! Yay! The other two are still ribbon-less, but that is probably because other entries in the same categories were\u00a0simply better. That’s life; I still look forward to seeing what the judge said when I get the quilts back tomorrow evening. \ud83d\ude42 Tomorrow, too, I’ll get a chance to look at the rest of the show, and that should be fun!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
