\"IMG_0908\"<\/a>What’s Fiori di Cuore, you ask? I don’t know what it actually\u00a0means<\/em>, but it’s the name of a sweater pattern that I began making last fall and finally finished this week. LOL! Actually, fiori<\/em> are flowers, and cuore<\/em> is a heart — but does someone out there know what they are when put together? Anyway, back to my subject, I enjoy knitting, but it’s not my main focus, so there was a lot of down time, as well as\u00a0an entire knitting-free summer to slow me down. It’s just too hot here to knit in the summertime! But I finally finished the sweater and am now going to look for the right shirt to wear under it.<\/p>\n

The sweater\u00a0has a very deep V-neck, as well as large sections of lace knitted into the top fronts, so something underneath is necessary — which will keep me warmer, also. The button is one of a set I picked up in Houston last fall, planning to use one of them for this.<\/p>\n

That lace is repeated in smaller sections near the bottom of each sleeve, and the yarn is a lightweight wool\/silk combination in variegated blues ranging from royal to medium blue. I think this will be fun to wear!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
