I’ve just returned from a wonderful class at the Bernina Connection<\/a> in Phoenix. \ud83d\ude42 My quilt buddy, Phyl, invited me to stay with her, and we always have a great time together!<\/p>\n

The class was taught by Claudia Dinnell<\/a>, who does wonderful digitized embroidery patterns. The pattern we did is called ‘Tis the Season, and we had to learn Claudia’s technique for placement when rehooping. This technique works *so* well!<\/p>\n

\"IMG_0815\"<\/a>The first block\u00a0\u2014\u00a0the teddy bear block — had three hoopings, and the second\u00a0\u2014\u00a0the ornament block\u00a0\u2014\u00a0\u00a0had five! It can get fiddly, but the results are worth the effort.\"IMG_0816\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Now I need to find some time to do the four remaining blocks, the five embroidered text blocks and the borders\u00a0\u2014\u00a0not to mention quilting the whole thing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
