\"Screen<\/a>What are you doing for this special weekend? My local guild,\u00a0Desert Quilters of Nevada<\/a>, is having our\u00a0annual quilt show! This is a three-day event (Friday through Sunday) that takes all year to coordinate. Finally, last Monday those of us who were entering quilts for the show delivered them to the venue to be judged (though\u00a0the quilter may opt for display only) and hung. Thursday the vendors get set up in their assigned areas, and Friday the viewers were\u00a0allowed in. I worked Friday afternoon and will work again on Sunday morning, returning again Sunday at the end of the show to pick up my entries.<\/p>\n

This year was the 25th anniversary of the guild’s show, so there was a retrospective of quilts from those of us who had been quilting for over 25 years. We submitted an early quilt and a later one, and they were shown twice on Friday and twice on Saturday, along with explanations of the quilters’ history. It’s hard to believe that I’ve been quilting for that long! I shared my first quilt<\/a> and one I made just under\u00a0two years ago<\/a>.
