As a quilter, I’ve been drooling over sewing machines with a larger harp space. Of course. But who can afford one of these? And besides, I love my Bernina 630<\/a> with the adorable skin showing my cocker spaniel and its lovely stitch.<\/p>\n

\"IMG_0318\"<\/a>Last weekend, though, something sort of fell into my lap. My LQS had some demo machines at a very attractive price, combined with Bernina’s latest no-interest loan for 48 months. Hmmm … and there was a beautiful Bernina 780 just sitting there! After coming home, doing a little research, and consulting with my husband, I went back and committed to buying the machine! It’s gorgeous! Of course, I couldn’t pick it up until today, but I was there as soon as I could be. Look at all of that space to the right of the needle!<\/p>\n

\"IMG_0317\"<\/a>I don’t have the proper insert for my table yet, of course, but I’ll make do until it arrives. I’ve spent this afternoon getting acquainted with the new member of my quilting family, and I think I’m going to be extremely happy. Just look at all of that light!<\/p>\n

But what about my 630, you ask? I’m keeping it. It will become my travel machine, since it’s a\u00a0lot<\/em> lighter and easier to transport than this 780. Besides, now it will always be ready to go, since it will need to spend most of its time in its travel bag; I just don’t have space\u00a0in my little sewing room for more than one machine to be set up at a time.<\/p>\n

But if you know anyone who wants to buy a BSR or an embroidery module with Tutto travel bag, let me know; the ones for my 630 will be for sale, since I don’t need two of either! \ud83d\ude42 They’ll work on many different Bernina models in addition to the 630.<\/p>\n
