I love the shawl, but it&#8217;s really too small to be useful to me. Sad, isn&#8217;t it? Anyway, I had some of the yarn left and decided to make it again in a larger size. I wanted to use the same sorts of beads again, but I couldn&#8217;t find them, so I substituted different ones: coppery ones in the smaller size, and darker turquoise for the larger size. Yesterday I finished binding off the edging, and today I blocked the shawl. I&#8217;m really happy with it this time! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/sandymike.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/IMG_0116.jpg\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" height=\"240\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/sandymike.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/IMG_0116-300x225.jpg?resize=320%2C240\" width=\"320\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>This time, too, I managed to do a better&nbsp;\u2014&nbsp;though not perfect \ud83d\ude09 &#8212; job of keeping the beads lined up where they belong. You can just barely see the larger beads next to the long row of coppery ones.<\/p>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/sandymike.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/IMG_0115.jpg\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" height=\"240\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/sandymike.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/IMG_0115-300x225.jpg?resize=320%2C240\" width=\"320\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">Here is the central lace panel; the rest of the shawl is stockinette stitch, so there&#8217;s a good variety of &#8220;easy&#8221; and &#8220;more interesting&#8221; to work on.
