I&#8217;d made a small flag quilt a few years ago, but I hung it on our front door, facing due west, where the sun eventually faded and rotted it. Sad. At any rate, this new quilt will hang indoors, and it will look very good on a small wall later this summer. \ud83d\ude42 It&#8217;s about 27&#8243; wide by 21.5&#8243; tall.<\/div>\n<table align=\"center\" cellpadding=\"0\" cellspacing=\"0\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/sandymike.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Bargello-Flag-quilt.jpg\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" height=\"260\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/sandymike.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Bargello-Flag-quilt-300x244.jpg?resize=320%2C260\" width=\"320\" \/><\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"text-align: center;\">Bargello Flag<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: left;\">I&#8217;m quite happy with the fabrics and piecing, but I&#8217;m not so happy with the quilting. Oh well. I can&#8217;t like all of them as much as some, right? I did a spiral of feathers in the blue section; yes, I know you can&#8217;t see it because the fabric is so busy, but it was very good practice. \ud83d\ude09 In the stripes I did wavy intersecting lines, which didn&#8217;t turn out quite as I&#8217;d imagined them; I should have done wavy almost-parallel lines instead.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: left;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: left;\">Other than finishing this today, I&#8217;ve also made a lovely chocolate amaretto cheesecake for our younger daughter&#8217;s birthday. This really should be served with amaretto-flavored whipped cream, but we&#8217;ll settle for ice cream, given the birthday situation. LOL! Can you say, &#8220;decadent&#8221;? I found this recipe years ago in a newsletter, and it&#8217;s been a favorite ever since.
