I showed you in progress <a href=\"http:\/\/sandymike.net\/blog\/2014\/05\/19\/cruise-projects\/\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>, but now it&#8217;s finished. \ud83d\ude42 It measures 18.5&#8243; x 22&#8243; and was from a pattern by <a href=\"http:\/\/quiltmoments.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Marilyn Foreman<\/a>, though <a href=\"http:\/\/www.country-schoolhouse.com\/contact.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Marsha Bergren<\/a> taught the Twister technique on the cruise.<\/p>\n<p>I decided I liked the idea of miniaturizing this pattern, so my finished blocks are 1&#8243; square.<\/p>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/sandymike.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/TwisterIllusions1.jpg\" style=\"clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/sandymike.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/TwisterIllusions1.jpg?resize=240%2C320\" height=\"320\" width=\"240\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>Since I&#8217;m still so crazy about feathers, I machine quilted curved sprays of them in the colored diamond shapes and their shadows.<\/p>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/sandymike.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/TwisterIllusions2.jpg\" style=\"clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/sandymike.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/TwisterIllusions2.jpg?resize=246%2C320\" height=\"320\" width=\"246\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>Then I quilted some more curved crosshatching in the black background. I definitely need more practice with this, but I really like doing it.
