Hummer!

Oops! It’s been almost a month since I’ve posted anything here, but time has just slipped by. I’m still working on a Christmas project with embroidered blocks from the San Francisco Stitch Company, part of which project you can see here.

In addition, I’m also knitting a cardigan to use during summers in our overly-cooled public spaces here in the Las Vegas area. It does seem ridiculous to need a sweater or light jacket in the summer, but that’s how it is. At any rate, I haven’t yet finished enough of the sweater to show.

I’ve saved what is perhaps the most exciting bit of news for last. 😉 I recently hung up a hummingbird feeder outside the window of my sewing room. I could tell that the hummingbirds were using it, as the level of the liquid was going down. However, I didn’t ever see the birds themselves — until this morning! This little guy (gal?) helped himself to a little refreshment while I was watching, much to my delight.

Our local guild will be having its annual quilt show in a few days, so my time for the next week will be rather limited. I can’t wait to see what beautiful things our members have made!
