A reveal

Now that the holiday party for our quilt group is over, I can show the things I made for our gift exchange. I had a lot of fun looking for things I wanted to make that would be quilt-related, and I settled on three small items.

First, there was this Christmas ornament with its cute little sewing machine on it. It’s an embroidered design from Embroidery Library.

Next, I made a small pin cushion, another embroidered design. I think this might be useful for taking along, as it’s a conveniently small size. This little sewing machine is obviously an antique model.

Finally, there was a large mug rug. It began with yet another embroidered design featuring a sewing machine on the back of a bicycle, and then I did some free-motion embroidery on it to try to give the effect of motion.
