Zippered jewelry bag

Years ago I made a jewelry bag for travel, but I’ve always thought it was far too large for my needs, though I really liked all of its features. However, I recently saw a pattern from Indygo Junction for the Store & Go Zipper Case and thought it might work better for me. The pattern includes the option of making a sewing case instead of — or as well as — the jewelry bag.

The outer portion is embellished with embroidery stitches built into my Bernina 790+, using the circular embroidery attachment. It was quick and fun to do this part; I don’t often think to use those built-in stitches, and there are lots to choose from!

For the inside, I added a second zippered pocket to give an additional option for organizing my things. The pockets are lined in the grey fabric I used on the outer part of the bag, so it should be fairly easy to see what’s inside. All that’s left is to try it out the next time I go somewhere!
