My sewing room has been put into “shrink” mode so that I can begin the quilting on my most recent project. LOL! I needed to extend the back leaf of my table to support the quilt’s bulk, so the room is suddenly about two feet narrower than usual, and moving around in here is tricky. Right now I’m doing the “boring” part of the quilting; that is, I’m doing the stabilizing ditch stitching, using the walking foot on my machine. Once that’s done, I’ll be able to begin the more fun free-motion part. 🙂
And now for the news. Our local guild had its annual quilt show last week, and I’d entered three quilts. Amazingly, all three were awarded ribbons! Here they are in their finery:

Congratulations on your lovely ribbons. I have the same problem when I machine quilt. The room suddenly feels so much smaller!
Congratulations on your wins! But, My Word! You must have some fantastic quilters in your guild if neither of these quilts took the top prizes ….. They are awesome!!!
Gosh, thanks, Lynne! You’re really sweet to say that, but you’re also right — we do have some amazing quilters in our guild! 🙂
