Harrogate redux

semi-boatneck

When I posted this last week, I neglected to say that I wasn’t really happy with the round neckline. I’d wanted a boatneck, but something was sort of lost in translation when I generated the pattern. Just out of curiosity, I contacted Amy Herzog of CustomFit, and she very kindly told me how to mitigate the problem. It involved removing the neck band, undoing the shoulder seams and part of the sleeve seam, and ripping out a certain number of rows — most of which were very short, anyway.

I’ve finished doing that and re-knitting everything now, and it’s still not really my idea of a boatneck, but it’s a lot better, and I know I’m going to be happier with it. 🙂

Now I’m waiting for some supplies I couldn’t find in town, and then I’ll be able to begin my next project!
