Last spring I posted a little tutorial on how to make some signature blocks. Our quilt circle had its exchange, and I tucked my share of those signed blocks away for a time. Fast forward to last week, when our circle had another exchange, this time of half-square triangle blocks. Coincidentally, the signature blocks were 4″ (finished), and the HSTs were 2″ (finished), which means they could be so easy to use together! I’ve spent the past couple of days sewing them together into basket blocks with results like these:
I’m going to set them on point, probably with black setting triangles, though I’m still considering color choices. I’m pretty pleased with how they look so far. 🙂
